The Brother Sewing Machine Company (yep the fax and printer guys) has been making sewing machines for the home since 1954. Project Runway has given a jolt of B-12 to the sewing industry. And many sewing machine manufacturers, commerical pattern companies and others have jumped on the runway. And Brother Sewing Machine company has recently introduced their Project Runway Limited Edition sewing/embroidery machine. In fact in order to keep their name in front of the new, young, hip sewing crowd they have sponsored a design contest at the St. Louis Fashion Week. They even enlisted a participant form Project Runway season four as a judge. 
Brother makes a range of moderately priced, well-designed sewing, embroidery and quilting machines. And you don't have to be young and hip to enjoy using a Brother embroidery machine.

Shulman, senior vice president of Brother International Corporation and head of the company’s Home Appliance Division. “C-Combo is the first of its kind to employ high quality, highly reliable embroidery and sewing at budget-friendly prices.” What they are really saying is, " ...have fun learning to sew, or adding to your sewing skills.
