Janome Another Whiz-Bang Embroidery and Sewing Machine Even Marie Osmond Says So!

Janome sewing machines are well-made and technologically advanced. The name Janome means "eye of the snake". In 1935 the round bobbin replaced the traditional long shuttle bobbin. To the Japanese manufacturer this bobbin looked like the eye of a snake. And thus the name was born.

Here are some words about snakes in Japanese lore from Dr. Gabi Greve, of the Daruma Musuem in Japan:

"...Snakes are wonderous creatures, the little brothers of the heavenly dragon. They do not have any limbs yet they advance fast..."

The key words here are "wondrous" and "advance fast".

Computerized embroidery sewing machines and quilting machines are modern wonders, and the advances in the computerized sewing industry and especially within Janome have happend fast. Janome developed the first progammable computeirzed sewing machine in 1979. Today Janome sewing machines talk directly to your computer, you can download designs from the internet, and the Janome Mc 11000 has an adjustable large screen.

Janome purchased the New Home sewing machine company in 1969 and still manufacturers some machines under the New Home label.

Marie Osmond has been their spokesperson for years. And she and Janome are big supporters of the quilting industry and sponsor quilt challenges annually. Janome has an array of machines and have developed their whiz-bang model, the Janome MC 11000.

If Santa left me the Janome Embroidery machine instead of the Bernina, I could die happy.
