Singer 8763 Review

A very colorful addition to the handful of sewing machines on the market. Has the Singer 8763 got anything else to offer besides its nifty and stylish design?

Will it falter to the ground like the many other models that looked great on the outside but showed their true colors once I got my hands around them?

We are about to find out!

Singer 8763 Review

Singer 8763 Key Features

  • Thirty Stitches To Choose From

Not the best selection but not crummy either. I expected more stitches to be available for usage, but you have to be happy with what you get.

  • Two Automated Button Holes

Most Singer machines feature only one button hole which I had complained about in the past.

Two is very much acceptable but they can do even better, as far as I reckon.

  • Mechanized Sewing System

No longer do you have to spend tens of minutes of your precious time trying to pass the needle through the thread as the integrated bobbin system does it all for you.

Saved me quite a few nerves!

  • Five Additional Feet With Every Purchase

The best one out of the tested was the buttonhole foot; It enabled me to stitch up a button in to my coat without breaking a sweat.

  • 25 Year Warranty

Singer has really done it this time. They are trying to infiltrate the top spot their competitor Sewing Brother is holding as best as they can.

This is a step in the right direction!

  • Metal Frame Made Out Of Stainless Steel

The one thing Singer products are known for is the sturdy and head crafty materials they use in the construction process.

  • Illustrated Stitches And Helpful Buttons

Instead of having to hold your manual every time you would want to find a stitch that is of interest to you, the drawings on the machine tell the tale of a thousand words!

In addition, the built-in buttons serve to speed up the selection process even further as it is all done in one fell swoop.

  • Finally A Model With DVD Instructions!

These aren’t really necessary for me. However, when you put yourself in the shoes of a fledgling, any sort of additional help comes in handy!

Great thinking by the company!

  • Reverse Stitching Is Uncomplicated

No longer do you have to turn the thing upside down just to change courses, just push a button and you are all set.

  • Insufficient Stitches For The Price

The Brother HC1850, for example, has 130 built-in stitches, allowing for a much broader selection in the sewing process.

If you are anything like me, you prefer to have a bit more creative freedom than this model offers.

All in all, a magnificent unit that will make every newbie thrilled with the art of sewing.

Although it doesn’t contain as many stitches as I would love it to have, it is still a solid product as the convenience it provides with its mechanized features is paramount to creating a jolly user!
